Denver Travels to Oakland

The Denver Broncos start week 14 early. Tonight they will be playing their division rival, the Oakland Raiders. The Raiders have completely fallen apart over the last three weeks. The last time were winning during a game, was against the Buccaneers, about four weeks ago. Peyton Manning and the rest of the Broncos offense are going to be licking their chops when they see this sorry team take the field tonight.

While wrapping up the AFC West last week there could be a concern that the Broncos may come out flat tonight, but with Manning at the helm it would seem more likely that he would have this team fired up and ready to go. I would expect the latter to happen. Manning has been in many games like this before and the Colts had no problem continuing to play well without having to worry about making the playoffs.

Keys to the Game: Continue to jump on teams early. After the rocky start to their season the Broncos have found a habit of scoring early in games and giving themselves breathing room to play with. This Raiders team has a lot of quit in them. If Denver can get on the board early and often, Oakland will allow Denver to walk all over them.

If Peyton Manning continues to perform like an MVP, the Raiders will have no chance of winning this game. In order for Oakland to have a shot at winning this game, they will need Manning to miss receivers and throw a couple of interceptions. Manning does have a lousy game here and there, but it is unlikely it will happen tonight against THIS OAKLAND defense.

Do not beat yourselves. The Denver Broncos are much more talented and organized than this young Raider team. If Denver holds on to the ball and does not make any silly mistakes, they will walk away with an easy victory.

Injuries: Brandon Stokley has been activated for this game, but they will be without guard Chris Kuper and cornerback Tracy Porter. Other inactives include Jacob Hester, Wesley Woodyard, Sealver Siliga, Caleb Hanie and Julius Thomas.

The Raiders are fortunate to actually have Darren McFadden active and ready to play. McFadden’s career has just been one injury after another. The notable inactives for the Raiders include Derek Hagan and Richard Seymour.

Final Analysis: Unless Darren McFadden his able to put on amazing performance tonight the Raiders stand no chance of defeating this superior opponent. Denver will run away with this one. Denver 38 Oakland 14.
